Three months ago I paid $20 (No insurance) for my prescription (60mg twice a day for 90days)
This month it's over $240! That's over a 800% increase! Why? Thankfully I have insurance and got it for around $25 but in the past I could get it for $20 with no insurance.
I'm 24 years old and have been on this medicine since I was 4 years old (over 20 years now). I was diagnosed with Migraines at the age of 4 (I know odd, The neurologist said I was his youngest patient ever with migraines). But in over 20 years it has never raised this much why now? What gives?
If you have a walgreen's near you it would pay you to join their club for $20 a year and get it there, it would save you a considerable amount of money. There are also discounts online if you google them.
The manufacturers and drug suppliers decided they could get rich, and meds I've noticed this more with bp meds, because we have to have them, have gone thru the roof. There is a wide difference in pharmacy prices, even in the same town. It pays to check around.
