I have SLE Active Lupus and active Hep C can I take this drug ? What would the side effects do to me?
This is questions I would ask your doctor. Promethazine has many uses: one of which is nausea, however the biggest side effects to Promethazine are dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, confusion and poor coordination.
In larger but still normal dosages this med can cause hypotension, heart palpitations and tachycardia.
If you choose to use Promethazine make sure you do not have any other CNS (central nervous system) medications in you're system without your doctor knowing about those as well.
It's always better to air on the side of caution.
Be well and take care.
