Suspect meds: oxybutynin, fexofenadine, pramipexole, sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim, Celebrex - (she was on simvastin than went to lovastatin, also she takes lomotil on a regular basis for diarrhea,,, (other suspicion Mold in A/c ducts & old carpet). My mom is 73 had a Heart Stint put in with 99% blockage, about 2 months ago(on Plavix), then Coreg brought her Pulse below 34 back to ER, Chg Medication to lisinopril. MRI/CAT showed ATI's with scar tissue as far back as 8 months before heart stint was put in. She on Humulin 70/30 25 units once a day and metformin 1000mg twice a day. Well that's as much detail as i can give you. It's just soo heartbreaking and frustrating that within 2 to 3 weeks she's declined that much. Forgeting minute to minute, but she remembers things from long ago! Any help is appreciated.
Hi jarala; For what it's worth. I have the same problem. July 20 2009 I contracted Polymyalgia Rheumatica P.M.R. (form of arthritis) I've been on Prednisone since that date. Also started generic Vicodin, March or April of 2010 (suspect) problem started about that time.also take sertraline (just got off) Nifedepine, years , & Atenolol @ 25mg. each & docusate sodium. hope that helps. Give me a shout if I can help.
I suffer from depression. During my last hospitalization the new dr that treated me prescribed Deplin. It is not an anti-depressant. It is the only form of folic acid that crosses the blood brain barrier. Dietary supplements cannot do this. With all her health issues and medications and her age she is no doubt able to get this necessary supplement to her brain. It helped me tremendously. It is relatively new. Go to www.deplin. com. Research it then ask her dr if she can try it. It is prescription only but not a drug, just folic acid, a dietary supplement. God Bless you both.
I lost my very sickly mom 5 years ago, even though she needed a lot of care from me I would to double of what I did if I could only have her back
