I have post partum depression. I tried this cream for 2 weeks and became sedated and more depressed than ever. It may take 2 months to fix. Anyone else?
I also had postpartum depression years ago after the birth of my son. I haven't tried progesterone cream. If you continue to have depression, I would talk to a doctor about antidepressant medication. I am on a tricyclic antidepressant called imipramine. This is one of the best tricyclic medications to alleviate depression. More than likely, your doctor will place you on a SSRI antidepressant which is considered newer antidepressants, such as Prozac, Zoloft, or Lexapro. Whichever medication your dr. starts you on, don't give up if you don't feel better right away. Sometimes, it can take trial and error to find the correct antidepressant for your system. I hope you get to feeling better soon!
