will this affect my skin? (face)
I could find no procedures for stopping the use of hydroquinone. Unfortunately, when you discontinue use of hydroquinone, your skin’s natural supply of tyrosinase will no longer be inhibited. Slowly but surely, your skin’s natural pigmentation will return. You may want to stop hydroquinone's use gradually with occasional touch-ups for returning dark spots.
People with darker skin can end up with even darker skin due to hydroquinone. It can add a layer of grey or blue to their skin. The studies about this drug causing cancer were done in mice. No human has ever gotten cancer from it. All of this information came from FutureDerm dot com. I wish you well with your withdrawal from this drug.
