Just wondering how long does it take for this to take effect if its gonna work at all.. anyone had any luck with this?? I have had this done for 3 yrs of Post Herpetic Pain in my chest.
Ice, ice, ice the area that was treated. Ice really helps. When I had them done on my back it took a couple of weeks for the pain and inflammation from the procedure to settle down. Unfortunately I found I didnt get a whole lot of relief from them but lots of people do get great relief! I hope you are in the group that gets good relief. I do know that icing the area is very important and the ablations where I iced a lot did much better than ones where I didnt (I had these done by two diffferent docs-one told me to keep ice on frequently for the first few days and the other didnt) It will be fairly painful for a week or two-at least it was for me! I would give it two to four weeks before you will truly know how much it helped.
