These have worked lovely until tonight. Used one zaleplon, hour late still very awake so I take another. Another hours goes and then I take the 6.5 zolpidum... Been laying in bed trying to sleep since and it's not going well. Any suggestions? In the past they work fine (I use the zaleplon once a twice a week and have no problems... Only use zolpidium when zaleplon hasn't in the past.. So looking for advice and guidance. Thanks.
I'm assuming you misspelled zolpidem.I have been taking that stuff for at least seven years and I have read extensive articles in the medical journal on this stuff. And I have spoke to my doctor's. It is habit-forming and you do build up a tolerance to the recommended dosage. For some reason the doctors will not give you any more than the recommended dosage because they are afraid they will be held liable. They are class 3 & 4 scheduled drugs So as patients we get stuck with a five or 10 mg pill that does absolutely nothing by itself and end up taking a lot more than 1. There are stories of people who have killed themselves or somebody because it puts you in a hypnotic state. I am going to assume most of these people took their medication and did not go to sleep. Thinking they would lay down later. This stuff creeps up on you so fast you have to take it while you're in bed. You do not have control once it kicks in to remember what you should or should not do. On the good side it does put you out for about four hours after that your own body has to take over or you will wake up. My experience is I alway's wake up like a clock , in 5 hours. I am talking about me taking three or or more 12.6 milligrams at a time. I just create a tolerance and the effect wears off even sooner. I have to fight with doctors and pharmacies to bounce between zolpidem and tamazipam 30 mg. I tell them that you got me on this medication, either give me some more or something that works or get me off of it. So they end up switching between the zolpidem, plan and CR and the tamazepam 30 mg.I favor the zolpidem over the temazepam.other sleep prescriptions do not wear off quick enough for me which is a good thing that I do not take them and it is a good thing about the zolpidem. Stronger sleep medication will have you walking around like a zombie for 24 hours. I am not looking forward to being a zombie I just want to get a good nights sleep. Best of luck to you
