... into a dark hole. Anxiety is my main issue but depression comes when I fight the anxiety too long without meds. I am worried about going on to meds again as I want to feel happy, excited, and look forward to things and I fear it may turn me into a zombie again or worse still it wont work. Any advice?
Hi, sovereign! Go for it! Is NOT taking medication working for you? You can't be afraid of new things because of what you anticipate they may or may not do. You could miss the best opportunity of your life ~ what if Pristiq is what will make you happy, excited, and ready to face the world?
Okay, so what if it doesn't work. You taper off the medication under your doctor's supervision and move on to try the next drug.
Zombie? Given the 353 million people taking psychotropic medications who are leading normal, happy lives I think that's more of a personal fear than a statistical reality.
I don't mean to make light of your valid concerns but I think if you're unhappy enough to seek help then you need to be brave and have a little patience through this trying time.
For what it's worth, after a long time of trying different drugs and *cocktails* I am finally enjoying my life... to the fullest.
Good luck and best wishes, WCV
sovereign; I'm with wildcat; the short time that you feel worse is just in the beginning after the first week or two you well get through these side effects and slowly start to feel better do not break the Pristiq take the whole tablet You do want to feel better than you do now right. Well, you won't unless you start to take the medication the right way it well only get worse please grin and bear it you well be feeling better in no time. If you don't you well continue to feel like you do now
