Today my partner saw a infomercial about this Nopalea juice, and he wanted me to order some. So I came to the computer to research. I have a tendency to judge harshly because I have been taken a few too many times. I learned here today so far that there are many, many, varieties of this cactus. And that it would take a bit of study to find just the one he wants and in turn ... the product (capsule?) to help him. He is after the help with inflammation. He has some inflammation in his joints and tendons. I love the idea of the people helping each other with info here. I am looking for knowledge and where to find the correct product of this cactus for him to try??? Is it the berry or the leaf he wants?? and where do you recommend I purchase from? We prefer natural Tanks in advance. stoneart
The best way to reduce inflammation is by eating a whole food diet, limiting meat (have fish instead) and limit dairy, also avoid nightshade vegetables (potato, tomato, eggplant and peppers) exercise if not already, try L-Lysine (an amino acid). Reduce stress. If you want to drink cactus juice, drink it instead of a cola or coffee. I hope this helps. I have been suffering from inflammation which has led to many health problems, but fortunately one of my dearest friends is an oncologist who is certified in integrative medicine. I study inflammatory issues and have found measurable success from the advice offered above. Your doctor should be able to advise you on healthy alternative approaches to controlling inflammation.
Good luck and good health.
