Baclofen comes in 10 mg tabs. Should Rx be filled as 90 10 mg tabs or 135 10 mg tabs with instructions to take 1 1/2 tabs 3 times a day? Thank you.
halsch; The best thing to do is next time you see the doctor tell him or her that Baclofen only comes in 10 or 20mg tablets and must be written correctly. Because there is not a 15mg made. And the pharmacist can't fill the prescription for over the mg that is written but can for the lowest close strength in Oregon anyway. so it would be filled here as #90 of the 10mg to take one 3 times daily. To get it filled the other way the doctor would have to write it as 20mg and to give 1&1/2 3 times daily or write it as 10mg take 1& 1/2 3 times. daily so in other words it has to say exactly what the doctor wants or in some cases the prescription well be VOIDED by the pharmacy until you go get a prescription that is correct. It is very confusing to everyone. But the board of Pharmacy is getting very tough on everyone. Good luck you could even have the doctor call the Pharmacist and get it right while you are in the office if she or he really wants 15mg taken 3 times daily. good luck
