... will not usually refill it until a full month has gone by. I will be short by one day and will need the prescription that one day early. What should I do? I also will be using a new Medicare D for this this medication which will start january 1st
angie; Really the only thing you can do is call the new Insurance and see what they can do. This is not a problem with the Pharmacy. with many drugs and more so with this many insurances used to only pay for 14 tablets a month and some are still that way. So you should give them a call and make sure they have no restriction on this too. Part of the problem Angie is that your doctor is giving you more than even the therapeutic dose meaning the manufacturer does not recommend more than 10mg a night. I know its crazy but trust your Pharmacist this was always such a pain in the butt when I was still working. They have no reason not to give it to you other than it won't get paid until the insurance goes thru the computer. And a big mistake we did is advance people the one or two pills and you can see where we are heading every month we get further and further back from the fill date. Then we really get in a jam. hope this will help you understand what is going on we are all just pawn's nowadays and it's only going to get worse. best of luck. Chuck1957 PS DEAR MERRY CHRISTMAS. And lucky your just one day off it could be much worse so try not to give the pharmacist a bad time we deal with this crap all the time and it is hard to explain to the patient. Chuck.
