I've been taking prescription Prilosec (generic Omeprazole) for chronic heartburn for about five years now. It's worked wonderfully, and I have been heartburn free ever since. But for the past week I've been having heartburn in the evenings. I haven't changed my diet or anything. I was wondering if it is possible to build a tolerance to Prilosec, and for the drug to stop working over time.
Does prescription Prilosec eventually stop working?
