I've been take three 800mg ibuprofen a day, and (1) 5-325 hydrocodone for pain as needed. My doctor prescribed two 500 mg Nabumetone tablets in the morning, which should get me through the day and night without pain. The reviews I've read are scary. Not sure what to do. Help!
Are all these prescribed by the same physician? If not, they each need to know about the other's prescriptions & treatments. If so, the Dr needs to be the one you express the fear to, so he/she can give you information, comfort or make a change. Reviews are subjective as all meds affect us differently.
Consolidate multi-Dr scenario, or, inform single Dr of your concerns. When discussing with the Dr, be prepared to site the sources you are drawing your fears from.
It is an NSAID in the same class as ibuprofen and the side effects would be the same.
