I'm scared of all the side effects I've read on these reviews and I HAVE TO BE ABLE to function for my kids. Ugh just scared to start taking it. My depression is already pretty high along w anxiety of everyday tasks being a single mom. Really don't want it to get worse like some people say and I'm already an insomniac as it is. Also need to lose weight not gain. Any advice will help thanks.
So my o.b prescribed me zoloft and I have two babies. Any suggestions. I have anxiety and depressio?

In my experience, if it does get worse, it doesn’t last long. I think it’s also more likely to do that if you’re in your early 20s or under. As far as weight, I did gain weight on Zoloft, but it worked! So after getting stabilized and functioning, I was able to switch to a medication that didn’t cause weight gain. Plus Zoloft doesn’t cause weight gain for everyone. When I’m worried about a med, I find it good to check the “most helpful” reviews for it on this site. It offers a good, realistic picture. Keep coming back as you have questions. Don’t be afraid to call your doc either!
