My doctor just prescribed me Seroquel to supplement my Paxil that I take for depression. I have depression and anxiety as well as PTSD, but I am not bipolar. I used to take xanex for my panic attacks, but he said this would be better. Does it work for anxiety and panic attacks? Also, I have already gained 80 lbs from emotional eating. Will I gain even more with this? Thanks.
I took Seroquel for anxiety and depression and it saved my life! It has many other uses other than Bipolar. It is a cross over med. never caused me any weight gain problems
The source for these answers is the Dr who prescribed it, questioning him in he Internet will only bring confusion and feed the apparent lack of confidence. Take the step to present these concerns to the Dr, you'll get the best answer and enhance your relationship and future care.
I too was having panic attacks, depression and a new Dr. had me on 40 mg. of Prozac as well as Xanax for anxiety. After a round of Medrol, for a rash , I was talking fast on the last day.and became scared,I was 37.
I went to the Psychiatrist, preterbed he gave me some bottle out of his closet. Seroquel, I began to move and literally could not stop ! Went to Er.and was given Zyprexa, another antipsychotic, well neuroleptic and my body FLIPPED..This went on for 6 months causing Tardive Dystonia, Dyskensia
It did damage to my brain. They never agreed if it was one med or combination of antidepressants and neuroleptics. Lost my children, home job,pride... Be careful, they also said I was making it up, Stress!!! 10yrs upside, downside backbends. Karen
Hi I just wondered how you are going? My doctor just prescribed me 25mg of seroquel at night for anxiety. I took one last night at 10 pm and although I slept well I was a zombie all day and slept on and off until 4 pm! I'm really scared about taking it tonight. Does it get better? Thank you
