I am prescribed Oxycodone Ir 30mg and the pharmacy gives me Oxycodone HCL which the brand name is Roxicodone, why is this pharmacy giving me this? During Christmas they did not have enough to fill my prescription so I had to go to Walgreens and they gave me Oxycodone Ir 30mg made by Activis. So if Walgreen gave me Oxycodone Ir, why is it that I don't get them from my pharmacy?
I go online and ask what is the difference between Oxycodone Ir and Oxycodone hcl, and I always seem to come up with they go on by saying Oxycodone and OxyContin. So right there in my mind I am thinking that Oxycodone HCL is OxyContin. I would just like for someone to please educate me about what am I actually taking. The drug store gives me Oxycodone HCL 30mg with Roxicodone being the brand name
