I take 2000mg a day. I have had no problems with it what so ever. I also take Juniva. Just with the metformin my blood sugar is controlled to that of a non diabetic on a daily basis. Hope this helps.
PS. I freak out over new meds so if i tell you it's ok..then you can take that to the bank lol.
When I was first prescribed metformin it really bummed me out to see all the side effects. Then I looked up diabetes and by comparison the side effects of metformin were not that bad, I started taking metformin and I had only mild side effects and then for only a short time. I've been on it for 9 plus years now. Hope this helps
