The one 25 mg pill just doesn't seem to help with my anxiety or help me sleep.
Hi Tina: We aren't professionals here in these support groups - just here to share personal experiences and knowledge, but not override things that should be discussed with your doctor. Not trying to be rude - but prescriptions are given under a doctor's care for a reason. It would not be wise to double up on this type of medication without running it by my doctor and letting him advise you. Just give him a call. Hope you get some sleep!
G is correct.
By increasing your meds, you will be considered a non-compliant patient which will follow you in your charts.
The other problem is that you will only have 2 weeks worth if you double it. The pharmacy is not going to fill it early.
You will have to contact your doctor in either case. It's much better for the trust of your doctor to follow a strict plan. This could easily be solved with a phone call.
Tina; Yes both of these ladies are very good and I agree 100% This is a huge way of getting in trouble with your doctor. And also we are all different and medications act differently on us. not knowing anything about it other than you should follow the directions on the label. But one night it may not work as well then the next it hits you like a rock and you can barely wake up for the functions of the next day. Guilty as charged stick with the dose the doctor said and call the doctor when they are in. Best wishes. Sorry, we can't do better. Chuck1957
I agree with all that has already been said. If I were you, I would Take as directed, get an appointment with prescribing doctor, and tell him/her that the current dose is not helping you rest much. Let it be their idea to increase your dose or possibly change meds. They are so strict with the rules now, any sign of abuse could leave you w/o a doctor to prescribe for you. Take care and Best wishes. ChelleKay
