... positive for ecstacy, methamphetamine, and amphetamine which I have not done. Is there anyone that can help me understand why I tested positive?
There area pile of medications now that can generate false positives; especially those cheap urine test employers use. I would have demanded a blood test using gas chromatography to prove otherwise (to compare with a urine test). Make sure the testing doctor is aware of ALL medications or supplements you are taking. Use these results for leverage in unfair dismissal claims. Don't take it sitting down as those false positives will follow you like a black cloud unless you take steps to rectify it.
I have just recently for the first time seen a warning on medication that states "this will cause a false positive for xxxxx" (something really nasty).
rgrove8253; Did you tell them of all the medications you are really taking from the doctor or over the counter I could not agree more with what Steve has said I would fight this these urine tests are so cheap and cause so many false positive; Maybe have your doctor do a blood test and take the results to your job, and have a letter from the doctor saying what could be causing the false positive. Wish we could be of more help but lots of times it could be even something you ate with one of these medications.
