I was on Adderall from the time I was 7 or 8 up until about 10 years ago which would be about 10 years that I was on it but my records are no longer available and the pharmacy where I got them filled no longer has any record of it and it's really hard to find a doctor that will prescribe you a medicine that you have no proof that you've ever took. I have been really struggling with it lately because I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was seven and now as an adult it's gotten even worse but no doctors will prescribe anything but even comes close to helping. Could somebody give me some advice please?
The first thing I'd do would be to get in touch with my doctor--I'm sure he's not going to leave you hanging. If the pharmacy where you got the prescription filled claims they have no verifying records--frankly, that doesn't even sound right. You might want to seek the services of an attorney. No one should be denied a needed medication.
If you haven’t been on Adderall for 10 years and you were 8 when starting did a pediatrician prescribe it? As an adult you may need to see a psychiatrist to get it. I would check with the doctor who originally prescribed it, if there was a fire they may not have had computer backups like there is now, and I’m not sure how long legally a doctor has to keep records .
You need to see a psychiatrist in order to get an RX. You can explain what you took as a child and just explain your symptoms now as an adult.
