I take alprazolam for my anxiety but the .5 MG doesn't seem like enough
It would be bad to increase the dose without your Dr's, permission because you will run out of them before it's time for the next prescription. Your dose is small and you may need more, but please call the Dr. for dosage changes. Also, Xanax is short-acting. Is this suitable for your anxiety? These are things to think about before talking to your Dr. It's easy to get used to higher doses and hard to decrease the dose once it's higher. It can be addicting, so go carefully with increases. God bless.
Rmc; No never Increase the dose without talking with your doctor. Xanax gets in the system pretty quick for most people but for some it may take a little longer like your second dose where it may work better if you are still having problems today please call your doctor you may need something different or just a dose adjustment But you never want to take more than what the doctor has prescribed. So make sure you talk with them at the office before you do anything. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Chuck1957
