... surgery on December 7th, and want to know if anyone that had it found it beneficial or not
Hi! I'm going in for a hysterectomy on Nov. 10th. I am only having my uterus and left Fallopian tube removed (my right ovary and tube were removed 10 years ago). As i understand it, it depends on whether the ovaries are removed as to if it will cure PMDD.. Our ovaries continue to produce the hormones that cause PMS, PMDD... So if just the uterus is removed we will probably still have PMDD until we would naturally go through menopause or the ovaries quit functioning. My doc did say most women who have even a partial hysterectomy usually have milder PMS symptoms afterward though. I am hoping for that too! Good luck on your surgery, I know what it's like to be waiting for one- the nerves, fear, hope... all of it!
