This whole year, I have not wanted premarian for my total hysterectomy. So, I tried a 1. 25 for a week and felt so strange, sleepy, confused, crazy, can't think, angry, a royal mess and cuckoo..Why? I can't get out of this house. On it or off it. Anyone have an answer? Going to ob-gyn in a month. I don't know why?
Premarin - why do I feel so cuckoo on or off premarian? HELP?

Jst to be more specific, I had the total hysterectomy 3 years ago. I went from 1.25mg, to 0.3mg, and then 0.6 all in 2008. Then, I took it upon myself to try and bite pieces of this medicine. I've always hated it. except now , in 2010, I cannot get out. I fall all the time, feel dizzy, been in and out of hospital and doctors cannot find nothing. I have a HUGE ANXIETY disorder too. It's my fault for not seeing an OB-GYN. I need a pap and mammogram. But, I truly am at my wits end when i tried 1.25mg for a week and needed to feel like I needed a looney bin.. I woke up this morning and cut it back again. I hated my OB-GYN, SO I refuse 2 return 2 him. Made the call yesterday, and can't get in to another one till NOV 11th. My Life was Heck before and worse now since that surgery. Noone can really help me except GOD through Jesus Christ..Awaiting an answer from any one in my position..THANKS......
I am so terribly sorry for what you are going through. I had a hard time when they gave me estrogen after my hysterectomy too. I am not sure why you had one, but I had endometriosis, which are adhesion's. They cut my ovary away from my intestines, but favorably on the ovary side in caution of slicing the intestines. If it makes you feel any better when I was on that extra estrogen I used to throw things and be real mean, real quick. I threw a box of frozen lunch AT my ex-husband and said "Don't forget your lunch" in a voice that did not sound like it was mine. I knew it was the hormones and stopped taking them. I finally found a really good OBGYN who took my blood and tested my hormone levels. That is how they found out that I had to have a small portion of my ovary still in there because it was still producing enough estrogen that when given any more it became too much, if that makes sense. Your OBGYN needs to test your hormone levels and they can write a script for any amount of missing hormones. A good formulary pharmacy can make specifically what you need. The only formulary pharmacy I know that is a chain is the Medicinne Shoppe (sp?) not sure if they are around where you live or not, but you have to get your hormones checked and balanced. Sometimes OBGYNs are too lazy to do this or think it is not necessary when obviously that is what you need to have done. Demand it if you have to, Dr.'s do work for you, you don't work for them. The best thing for me ended up being birth control pills. So I have a complete hysterectomy and still take BC pills daily to keep my hormones balanced. I no longer throw things either. Go figure, but that is exactly how different everyone is. Good Luck!! Please let me know how it goes.
