My daughter is 6 weeks pregnant and she has been vomiting and nauseated so the er dr put her on zofran. She are supper and now feels like she is going to throw up. Can she take it after she ate
There is a class action lawsuit against the makers of zofran from women whose children had birth defects after taking it during pregnancy. I would tell her do not take it period. I found that eating candied ginger, peppermint and chewing mint gum when I was nauseous helped. I had morning sickness all day everyday. Also high doses of vitamin B6 is said to help.
I took zofran throughout my entire pregnancy for severe nausea even at the hospital just prior to delivery. Once she was born I was completely back to normal. I took it as needed with or without food. My daughter was born perfectly healthy! Zofran definitely saved me from hospitalization.
