Getting pregnant has nothing to do with seeing bleeding. It has to do with ovulation. You can ovulate and not have a period or you can ovulate when you are having your period, so yes, you can still get pregnant. Once a device like this is removed, you can no longer count on it as protection unless a new one replaces it or you go to another method of birth control.
