I'm 24 years old and I was due for my last shot for the depo last year in April and didn't take it haven't taken it since the 3 months before my last one due. Now I've been trying to get pregnant it took me a couple months to get my period but now it's completely back to normal and I'm worried it's going to take a lot more time but I'm also worried it's made me infertile. How long has it taken everyone else after stopping the shot to get pregnant? I always feel like I have pregnancy symptoms as I've had two kids before having the shot so I know the feeling and all feels the same but than I do pregnancy tests and their negative. Just needing some advice. Thanks :)
The Depo will not have made you infertile, however, it can take up to 18 months to regain your fertility, whilst your hormones rebalance themselves, when coming off Depo.
Unless you're one of those women who can tell when they're ovulating, then you'll not know for sure that you're not just experiencing hormonal bleeding, rather than actually releasing the lining & an unfertilised egg each month (i.e, having a period).
Agnus Castus is a natural remedy that works to balance your hormones. It got me back into a regular monthly cycle, within 6 weeks of starting it. I now use a lower, maintenance dose, to keep my hormones balanced. It has not only given me a regular cycle, but it has helped with my PMS/PMT enormously.
This may help balance your hormones & allow you to become pregnant more quickly, so it's worth considering :)
