The time to worry about pregnancy is before you have sex. Emergency contraception often delays ones period. Wait to see if your period is late then perform a pregnancy test once you are a week late. If you get your period before then, no worries. If you are lucky and didnt manage to get pregnant this time, you should talk to your Dr about getting on the Pill or another reliable form of birth control. Emergency contraceptives are not nearly as effective as regular birth control plus it is not meant to be used as a birth control method. Emergency contraceptive pills are about 80% effective at preventing pregnancy but regular birth control pills are about 99% effective-you tell me which one is better!
