Could I be pregnant? My husband and I had sex around the time of my period I was having the symptoms like I always do before my period well we had sex during them and now they just stopped and I haven't had my period yet I'm a few days maybe late were trying to have a baby but its hard for us to simply because my uterus is tilted up and the ob said it could be hard to get pregnant I just need a little help with this situation and some more understanding
Anything is possible. It is best to wait until you are a full week late before testing. I was 3 days late but tested negative. A few weeks later I tested again and was positive! I had cramping like I was going to start but never did.
I have a tilted pelvis also along with endo so it took us a good year of trying before I got pregnant. Now we have been trying 2 years for our second and nothing yet. So I know how frustrating it can be hoping every month and being let down. But I and many others am proof that it can happen. We just have to have patience and faith in God that it will happen when it was meant to. My sister in law had an eptopic pregnancy and then was told there was no way she could get pregnant and if she did it would be eptopic again. Well now she has a 6 year old girl! So miracles can happen and I believe it will happen for you too. Hang in there and please let us know what happens either way. If not this time then it will happen soon. My best advice, Don't forget to have fun trying!
Dont let them tell you that you cant get pregnant due to a tilted uterus. I know soooo many women who were told that that has no trouble getting pregnant! My nephews wife has a severely tilted uterus and she had no trouble at all. Hers is so tilted, she carried her babies to the side. I have never seen someone carry so strangely! She has two healthy kids, a boy and a girl. I know of another girl who was told her uterus was too tilted to ever get pregnant so she told her BF that she was "sterile" and she got pregnant within a few months. It was a big mess because he accused her of "trapping" him by her telling him that she was sterile (which she truly thought she was because her OB doc told her she'd never have children) These are just two examples I know of. It is possible you could be pregnant. As the previous poster says, wait until you are at least a week late and use the very first void (pee) of the morning since it is the most concentrated. Pregnancy tests look for the presence of a hormone called Human chorionic gonadotropin or HCG. This hormone is only present in pregnant women but the level has to be high enough for the test to detect it. The average menstrual cycle is 28-days long – that is counting Day one as the first day of menstrual bleeding (your period) then the next period is due to start 28 days later. Your period comes because an egg fails to get fertilized. So your period comes about 12 to 14 days after the egg is produced. Therefore, in the average 28 day cycle the egg is produced around day 14. Sperms can live happily 32-48 hours in the vagina or the uterus so the most fertile time is day 12 to day 16. These are the days to be sure to be sexually active. You can also check cervical mucus but this takes a little more talent and observation and familiarity with your body to do. The least likely time to conceive is from day one to day seven. If your cycle is different from 28 days on average, you have to adjust the calculations – the important thing to remember is that the egg is produced about 14 days before the next period starts.
So there's always a bit of guess work involved. Good Luck! :)
