This is my first month taking birth control and I was about 3 weeks into my packet when I had sex for the first time. But I've been freaking out so about 45 hours later I took plan b one step.
Yes you can still get pregnant, because neither birth control nor Plan B is 100% fail safe.
Depending on which regular pill you're on, you may also not have done yourself any favours in taking Plan B, neither. Your regular pill causes a specific imbalance of hormones in your body, to stop you getting pregnant. Plan B is a huge dose of one hormone. Depending on what regular pill you're on, the Plan B's hormone may work against the balance that the regular birth control has created, & make your pill less reliable.
You didn't need extra protection if you'd been taking your regular pill reliably for 3 weeks.
You are likely to get irregular bleeding for the next month or two. Taking Plan B without the regular pill can cause a late period & spotting or even heavy bleeding in between periods, but with the artificial hormones in the birth control as well as the artificial hormone in Plan B, your body could take quite some time to get back into it's regular state with your menstrual cycle, & other than irregular spotting & bleeding, you could well find that you don't get a period for the next couple of months. Everyone's different, so it's difficult to know how each individual will react.
You can do a pregnancy test if you don't get the next one on time, to put your mind at rest.
