I've been taking birth control for more than a year now I get my period every month for about 6 days I got it this December and after I got my period I kept on taking my bc I missed my pill for 3 days before my ovulation and had sexual intercourse and my husband came inside me two days later I started spotting like a rustic brown color and this kept on for 6 days after the six days I started heavy cramping but haven't gotten my period and I'm always regular so what's going on? Can I be pregnant?
You've been on the pill for a year and you don't know that when you're on it you don't ovulate? Someone slipped up on telling you about it. You did the spotting etc because you missed the pills. Your cycle is most likely just messed up from the missing pills. When did you start your week break from active pills? Most likely its just the fact that you missed the pills and didn't do what you are supposed to because no one told you that either. When you miss 3 or more pills in a row, you should start a new pack of pills immediately. This will stop your period for the month, but that is just fine since you don't need a period every month when you're on the pill. You also need to wait until you've taken 7 active pills to have unprotected sex. Which is what you need to do now, do not have unprotected sex until you've taken 7 active pills of the new pack. I don't think you're pregnant but there is that possibility. If you don't get your period, start the next pack of pills like you should, and when you are a week into them you can test for pregnancy if you are still worried. Its possible to skip a period a period now and then too when you're on the pill.
