... i might be pregnant ... doctor told me to do pregnancy test on 2nd of october ... is it safe to receive treatment with vaginal cream miconazole nitrate?
Hello. Glad you asked this question. According to the warnings it is not to be used for pregnancy, or if you think you are pregnant. Best to call your doctor office on Monday to find out what else you can use or if they feel it is safe for you. In the mean time, and I know how much it burns and itches, wear skirts, no tight clothing, cotton underwire, no thongs or nylon. Area needs to breathe to reduce the dampness.
People recommend cranberry juice. You have to drink a lot of it. There are also cranberry pills at specialty stores or whole foods. Never tried it but it might help.
I don't beleive in douches as they can actually make it worse. Especially if there is any scent to it. Soaking in a tub helps as long as you dry well after. You can also talk with a pharmacist, not an assitant, and see if they recommend anything you might use. Hang in there.
Hey Squirrel, and CONGRATULATIONS!!! I just found out that I will be a grandma in May,and I am very excited!! I think that babies are G-d's way of saying that the world should go on. They put out so much love, bring families together, and are just plain wonderful!! At this precious time in your life, you don't want to mess around with your natural flora, and add any medication whatsoever until you talk to a doctor. I'm all for trying home remedies, but with a possible pregnancy, you simply don't want to take any chances. Call you doctor. Not a big deal. They can tell you what is safe to use, and go from there. they might want to see you. I know that it is a hassle, but you don't want to take any chances at this time. Your baby is too special. Best wishes to you, and I hope that you have a safe and wonderful pregnancy!!!
