I am 38 years old i use to have topamax 25mg towice a day for epiliptic . Now i am pregnant so what medicene should i use to replace topamax while pregnancy.
Normally you would wean/slowly taper off Topamax and avoid the harm it will cause you and the baby. But if you did not plan it, talk to your neurologist or provider about it as soon as possible. I am Slowly coming off this drug (side effects differ for all, mine are BAD) and the first thing my neurologist said when he gave me this drug is "you should not be on this pill or any pills if possible if you get pregnant". He did not say what my options were because I was not planing on being pregnant. Call a 24hr pharmacy and see what they say just to help you understand your options, they are a lot nicer to talk to and free.
