For the majority of women it can take close to a year to get pregnant. For some reason, it seems to be easier when you are NOT trying than when you are. Consider that there is only a 3-4 day window where you are fertile each month. It helps to know when that time is so in this case an ovulation predicting kit can be bought OTC to help you determine when your fertile time is or since the kits are pricey, you can google "charting fertility" and by taking basal temps (temperature upon wakening) and checking cervical mucus and charting the changes, you can accomplish the same thing but it does take a while to chart with accuracy. If you have been trying for more than a year to get pregnant and havent been successful then it is time to see your gynecologist and perhaps a fertility specialist.
