Yesterday I went back to see my Dr and there is still no accurate answers. I went to get my quants checked and from last Thursday from a 690 my level went up to the 5,000s. I also got an ultrasound vaginal and on the tummy, idk what they saw I was not allowed to see them. The thing my Dr did say is that whatever I have it is in my uterus so the "pregnancy" is in my uterus. The product did grow in in these past few days, but they should be able to see something next time I go in about a week from today. Idk if I should be excited or if I should be ready for the worst. Dr said if nothing happens in the next wk she might want to terminated it just in case, and they still don't know if I was carrying twins or not. Its so draining and stressful! Has anyone heard of all of this before... im starting to feel like a freak of nature...
This does happen is some women. Do you know if they were able to detect a heart beat yet? Have you ever heard of a hydatiform mole or molar pregnancy? Have they made any mention of this being a possibility? A molar pregnancy happens when an egg is fertilized but for some reason genetic information is mixed up and a fetus doesnt form. It is basically a ball of cells but it does trigger pregnancy symptoms. Sometimes with a molar pregnancy the woman may discharge tissue that looks grape like. The mole or ball of cells looks like a cluster of grapes so if pieces break off they can look like grapes when they pass. If you want more info I can copy some for you because I think if I give you a link it would be password protected and you wouldnt be able to open the link but if you want more info I can copy and paste.
Hi Wishful... I was hoping that we would hear from u today since I remembered today was your doc appt. Well it is good that your HCG is going up... there is definitely something there!!
I, like Dzoo, was thinking of a molar pregnancy. I did not want to say
something earlier bcuz I didn't want to scare u. You must b very early n your pregnancy. With a molar pregnancy the HCG goes up higher than n a normal pregnancy. But the number also goes up quickly n a normal pregnancy due to such rapid cell division. How many weeks are you? You can google HCG levels n pregnancy and you will c what is normal for the number of weeks gestation. I don't remember these numbers as I do not work n OB... I have put in many epidurals n laboring women but that was a long time ago. Anyway... it is easy to look up. You can also look up molar pregnancy or hydaditiform mole. But if this will scare u or upset u... then don't do it.
I am curious about a few things... why did they not let u c pics of the US... and as Dzoo asked and I asked last wk, were there fetal heart tones? Did the doc say that the "something" that is n your uterus look as it is supposed to look at this stage of your pregnancy?
Are you having any somatic symptoms from being pregnant... like morning sickness, increased appetite, enlargement or tenderness of your breasts?
I know how nerve wrecking this must b for u sweetie. Just try to keep busy and stay positive. If u need to talk or have questions please post again... Dzoo Is very knowledgeable about so many things... so one of us will b here for u.
I will most certainly keep you n my prayers. God Bless You dear. I look forward to hearing from u again. As I said previously I DO know what u r going through.
All my best to you...
I'm glad you posted, but i'm sorry to hear you are none the wiser.
I know it's easier said than done but you'll just have to wait til you see your doc again next week,i know how frustrating it is and very unfair they did not tell you more, you'll just have to be patient hun and wait to hear what they have to say!
Let us know how you go and post if you need us in the meantime,i know its not much help, sorry i could'nt be of more help!!
