... pregnant? Many, many thanks.
i took seroquel while i was pregnant. it is in pregnancy category C (you can search "seroquel pregnancy category" on this site to find the particular issues). my ob/gyn assured me that it is safe and told me he had other patients who take it. i was also taking several other medications. i do not want to scare you- if you are pregnant i know firsthand how terrifying this will be to hear- but i did have a miscarriage. however, though anything is possible, it is highly, highly unlikely that the seroquel had anything to do with it at all. if you read up on it, you will see that most of the problems with seroquel occur in the third trimester, and i miscarried at 7 weeks. most miscarriages in the first trimester are caused by chromosomal abnormalities. that being said, i am now of course extremely paranoid about putting anything in my body while pregnant. when i get pregnant again, i am not going to take any medication at all, even if it is deemed safe. i want to say again that i really, really hope i did not scare you. if i did (well regardless of whether i did), i think it would be a good idea to talk to several doctors to get different opinions and to do your own research. i wish you well, and i hope that i helped you rather than causing you anxiety.
