Prednisone is a corticostreroid. I am Celiac (or Coeliac in English), and suffer from joint pain. My doctor advised against the use of prednisone as it can sometimes thin the bowel tissue, which is not good long term.
I also meant to point out that amoxycillin is anti biotic. These two meds are usually combined for the remedy of pneumonia or other chronic respiratory infections. I know that Augmentin, Synemox and most generic pills in capsules are gluten free. (in the case of capsules there's no need for a binding agent.) As for prednisone, don't be afraid to call the company that makes them. Most pharmacists can provide a data sheet with the medication that will say whether the pills are gluten free or not.
First start with the ingredients on the med sheet given to you at the drug store. Second ask before u fill a script. Ask each time you fill a script or refill a script. Also u can call the maker of the pill it is on the label of the bottle u get. Tell the pharmacist that you need a gluten free med.
