May asthma has come on slowly over the last 2 months and has just been getting worse and worse. The past 2 weeks constantly finding it hard to get a proper breath. Been taking the prednisone for 3 days now and it's just staying the same and not getting better. How long does it take to start working?

Hi. How are you doing? I have been having a really hard time too and was thinking of taking prednisone for the first time. Did it help you? How quickly? Also what inhalers are you taking? I hope you are doing better. I am also new to asthma and been having a hard time with allergies this year. Thank you!

Hi Wings, turns out it wasn't asthma at all and that I have anxiety :( I have suffered from anxiety and depression but never knew that anxiety can make it hard to breathe for so long. so I unfortunately wont be able to help you with your asthma.
I have both asthma and anxiety disorder. None of my meds are helping me right now to breathe easier.
