My dr prescribed prednisone for an asthma flare up. He talked about taking it for 5 days. After I picked up the prescription and got home I noticed it said to take 3 tablets daily (20 mg ea) for 5 days. But the quantity in the bottle was 10 and it said in big letters NO REFILLS. Obviously 10 tablets is not enough to take 4/day for 5 days. Do you think I should just take 2/day for 5 days, or call the dr or call the pharmacy (which was not the pharmacy I usually use) or what?
Hi Anonemouse NO you should first call the pharmacy and see if they could not read the doctors writing and mistook what was written or how many days YOU SHOULD TAKE IT JUST LIKE THE DOCTOR SAID.IS THE LABLE WITH the pills from the pharmacy right... It is common for this to happen and they can call your doctor and get it right so don't lower it when you have a asthma flare up they want you to take it like they say sounds like some confusion somewhere don't take less And yes you can call the doctor too and get him or her to call the pharmacy and get it fixed..You do need to take it for what the doctor said ... I would call the pharmacy and have them look at the rx again and see if doc was writing and talking at the same time..you need to get this corrected...
