Prednisone is not commonly used for treating allergic rash. Since it is working great for you, then there is no issue here. However, prolonged usage can cause permanent hair loss.
Depends what the rash is from. Benadryl is good for allergic rash. Prednisone is a very potent and damaging drug especially if taken long term. Check out Cushings Syndrome caused by steroid use. It has many horrible side effects.
Doctor had no prob with taking it as needed. I went to allergy center and found what I am allergic for. going on shot therapy hoping that will help.
