My daughter is 8-1/2 yrs old. She just started developing breast buds. Bone density test showed a bone age of 11. Other advanced tests done by the pediatric endocrinologist showed onset of puberty. Pediatric endocrinologist said if nothing was done she would be about 5ft 2inches tall and if Lupron was given she would be about 5ft 5inches. He recommended giving Lupron. My pediatrician on the other hand said why unnecessarily give steroids and that 5ft 2 inches was good enough. My daughter is ahead in school by 1 yr so it helps that she is now in 4th grade.
I am apprehensive about trying out Lupron. Can anybody give alternative home remedies they have tried or anything else that we can use to naturally slow the onset of puberty?
Well a lot of the problems with early onset puberty is all the hormones in dairy and meat so you might want to try finding organic meat and dairy with no added hormones. I think there might be a couple other things too but cant think of them at the moment. I would just say try to take as many added chemicals hormones out of her food as possible. Im not a doctor but my mom who I've talked to about similar problems is a nurse and told me everything im telling you. And if her hormones are already out of whack is it a good idea to give her steroidd? 3 inches isn't a big difference im 5'3 and perfectly happy so unless the lupron does something else like completely stops the early onset puberty and breast development which is the only thing that would make me vote for it I say skip it try changing the diet I mentioned and keep looking up natural remedies
