I was pre-approved, got the first bottle (only had to pay $5 with copay coupon), finished it, started the second bottle (again, $5 with copay coupon), and got both good and bad news within 2 days--I am cured!! But the next day I got a denial letter from my insurance company. How can they deny me since I am almost half way through the treatment? How can they reverse a pre-authorization once the treatment is under way? I still want to do the whole 12 weeks of the medication.
That sounds like a really tricky question when it comes to the insurance companies. I think I would speak to a customer service rep at the insurance company, if you didn't get any satisfaction there I would call the insurance commission in your state. That's like taking the horse halfway across the river and disconnecting the wagon then. But then in this day and age nothing amazes me anymore. Good luck, but I would try that route first. God bless!
