Terry31; Your question has me a bit confused, This is what Prazosin is used for mostly and if this is what you are being treated for if the doctor does not say anything. you in most cases Take it at bedtime for the first week or so anyway to start with because it can hit you pretty hard as far as dizziness, and more so with getting up and down so be careful when you first start this. And as far as the Xanax was there a question with it. Here is a brief discription on the Prazosin.
Prazosin is used for:
Treating high blood pressure or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Prazosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by causing the blood vessels and the muscles around the urethra (the tube leading out of the bladder) to relax. This helps to lower blood pressure and to improve urinary symptoms associated with enlargement of the prostate (BPH). IF there is more question to this please let us know.
