But I am highly concerned I have been taking prazosin (I'm at 6mgs, started at 2) since oct. of last year (2012) and I have ALWAYS been on the mylan brand, but the pharmacy I go to has to use teva brand because they 'couldn't get mylan' I am freaked out bc I know that some brands have different effectiveness rates or whatever and I take it for real bad nightmares, so I am scared it won't be as strong as mylan or my body will have to 'adjust' IDK but I am scared... I may be making a mountain outta a mole hill but I can't help it I am really concerned.. TIA!!!
Hello ktneal. You will not know until you try because everyone responds a bit different to a medication. The reason is that both mind and genetics affect outcomes. All kaismama was saying is that it should be tried and you may like it better.
Another way to look at this is if it doesn't work you are no worse than not having it. Scary, yes. But you an go back to doctor for another idea. But if it does work, you will be much happier and can then take it as you normally do. It isn't going to be much different. So it becomes a win win situation. You prove it works and you can rest well. You will be just fine. Sweet dreams. Karen
