Dear friends, and family on drugs.com, my elderly room mate who suffers from multiple health conditions could use some prayers if you have a few. He is having a reversal of a colostomy and a major hernia repair, this hernia is the size of a double d boob, and it has to be tken care of. He has AFib, congestive heart failure, COPD, GERD, an aortic aneurysm, high blood pressure, etc but has been cleared for the surgery. He, like one of a dear friends here, is Atheist, but I am not and maybe it is me who really needs the prayers. Of course I am very worried about him. So those of you who pray, please say some prayers for us, and those who don't, we'd be honored to just be in your thoughts. Have. Good day everyone, I truly love y'all. Thanks, patti
Prayers please for my room mate for his surgery today?

Hello all, it is now 1:45 pm, central time. They got the surgery started at noon. We have been here since 7:30 am and he did had some blood pressure problems and had to háček them bring him a breathing treatment. I am still in the surgical waiting room and want to be home so bad. As far as I know, the surgery is going ok. They will only tackle part of the hernia, but will do the colostomy reversal today. Thanks to everyone. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAR! Love patti

Thanks everyone, special thanks to DZOO, I am sure they did, he got antsy and also had to have a breathing treatment pre op, but made it thru. Surgey got started much later, took about 2 hour 15 minutes, he is in surgical ICU and I did not get to see him afterwards, but he is now in good hands and this girl is worn out.
Patti, we will most definately keep Ken & you in our throughts today. I hope the surgery is going well, & he has not troubles. Try to take care of you in the meantime. the waiting is very hard, (been there done that) & you also need to think of yourself. His recovery is likely to be a long one, lets hope it''s a good one too. Love, Mary
Patti, you are such a great person for taking on your roommates and taking care of him too!! Of course my thoughts are with him and you during this very trying time. You are so special for what you do. I don't know many (any) people who would do what you do!! I'm sure with your love and support, he is going to be just fine.
I hope all is going well. I'm on Pacific time now and always later then you East and Midwesterners! If they gave him any anticholenergics before surgery they can sometimes cause a bit of restlessness. I'm not sure if they still do this but they used to give them pre-op to help dry up mucous secretions. It has been a bit since I used to pre-op general surgery patients and things change every few years as far as protocols go so they may not do this anymore. I'll have Ken in my thoughts and prayers and pray that all goes well for him. He is having a lot done and it sounds like he is not in the best of shape but it sounds like you have a good doctor so everything is the best it could be under the circumstances! Hang in there girl and keep us posted!
