I typically fight to not have a sinus infection during seasonal changes. Some years successful some not. However after an uri this year, I developed a cough that would not go away. After three months with pcp trying different things I was referred to and ENT who prescribed 40mg of protonix and 300 of zantac. By this time my throught was killing my with alot of mucus in my throught. Over time it has gotten better but still have the throught mucus. Is there a better PPI out there to take? What should I try next? dexilent, prevacid, nexium? This is all totally new to me and very frustrating as the mucus is constant.
Is there a better PPI than protonix? I take 40mg 2/day but still have mucus in throught?
