I have liver failure. I recently lost 5 pounds of fluid. After about week I have gained five pounds back. Should I seek medical attention?
They are early signs of chronic liver disease. I sincerely hope you do not take adderall at this stage as it is toxic. You should be getting a cardiac evaluation as edema closely mirrors cardiac disease and function. I did not seek help until I had 35lbs of fluid that was removed by diuretics in 14 days. I have to have a sodium free diet (nothing added which pretty much empties the grocery store of edible products) with daily calculated fluid restrictions.
And yes, never play around with you liver or liver function; the ramifications can be horrible and as an alcoholic, I regret most drinks I ever had.
