I have fibromyalgia, and it has turned my life entirely. It has made me very depressed and anxious. I cannot work, but I still have debts to pay. I've also had previous depression & anxiety issues from time to time. I'm on xanax, but I used to take klonopin many years ago successfully, but this time around, klonopin made me very hostile, so I was put back on the xanax. Has anyone with fibromyalgia had experience taking this medicine?
The only ways I can see benzodiazepines being prescribed specifically for fibromyalgia is for their muscle relaxant properties (in fact, they work the best as muscle relaxants for me above all other drugs), and to combat the anxiety that can come with fibromyalgia, from dealing with 24/7 pain, and also dealing with the BS that comes with chronic healthcare in general. Have you ever considered going on an antidepressant? I took antidepressants for years for anxiety with success.
