... an antidepressant to add to this for seasonal depression..any ideas?
in the citalopram info on this site, it says that 4o mg is now the max dose that can be given, due to risk of qt prolongation. maybe u should talk to your doc about getting on another drug since this one isnt enough. as far as add on drugs, adavan or another tranquilizer may be good for panic episodes etc. best wishes.
80mg of this medication is double the recommended maximum daily dose. It has been shown in some studies that anything over 40mg has not been found to be effective. I also suggest speaking with your prescribing doctor about alternatives, since this medication doesn't appear to be effective.
Hi, i know this isn't your question, but i am also worried about the dosage of Citalopram you are taking. I was prescribed 60mg, took it for years, and i developed long QT syndrome. I also would say to be advised by your doctor regarding add on's... taking more than one antidepressant can cause several side effect symptoms, so it is difficult to advise. However, i take Lyrica (alongside Citalopram), which helps with my anxiety, panic and boosts my confidence. I hope you find something that helps
