- headache, post traumatic stress disorder, new daily persistent headache, chronic

I am currently taking Topamax and Zonegran for headache preventatives and they have decreased the intensity, but I still cannot just live with these headaches every day. I am on a low dose of Klonopin and I also take Wellbutrin. I use Imitrex when the headaches get unbearable, but I find that the Imitrex makes me very moody and gives me an even worse headache the next day. Fioricet makes them worse, ibuprofen or aspirin alone don't work most of the time. Vicodin along with aspirin works, but my neurologist will only give me 10 pills a month, one every four hours gives me 3 days of headache free bliss and a crappy rest of the month. I am in therapy for my PTSD, which I was just diagnosed with- but the trauma happened 12 years ago so things are pretty rough right now and all my doctors agree that the headaches are a physiological symptom of the PTSD. I am miserable from these headaches and need a solution. Just wondered if anyone else was dealing with this, and what I could possibly do. Doctors seem to just want to ignore me or pawn me off on someone else. I thought when I got disability I would get help with things. Validation. Nope.
hi i would like to tell you what i have heard from drs website they are now giving botox shots for constant headaches and they said it was working really well i dont know what else you take they could all interfere with each other and cause your headaches a pharmacy any where could answer your questions about the meds your taking now but i would look into the botox for headaches its very promising.
I have been getting the botox injections and taking trokendi XR 200mg once day for migraine's and still eating bc's and Tylenol like candy bc I always have a headache... Now I can't sleep I've started waking up in the middle of the night scared to death thinking someone is watching me. I was just recently told I had PTSD.
