I have severe gastric paresis, The Reglan caused side effects. I can not get the Domeparadone from Canada. I need something that is not going to cost a fortune because I cant afford it.
I also have gastroparesis. I was dx in July of 2011. My case became so severe that I required the surgical implant of a gastro electronic stimulator to make my stomach function. At that time, my doctor wrote me Rxs for omeprazole 40mg and metoclopramide. I will be taking both of these for the rest of my life. I know how unbearable this condition is. Please follow your doctors advice. Mention to them that you cannot afford whats been prescribed and see what your doctor says. You can also ask your pharmacist what the alternatives are for your meds. They can quote you prices, etc., and give you suggestions to take to your doctor. I really wish you luck in all that you are facing. Please keep me posted on how things go. Take care of you!
Propulsid is still available but there is no generic. You should know that there are assistance programs for brand name meds that help those who can't afford them. Usually the manufacturer helps and there are several others too. But the advice given before is good, go to your pharmacist and get options.
